I’m back! (For now) I’m sure you guys will understand since this is such a busy time of year. But as usual, this post was long overdue, but I think you’ll all find it interesting since I don’t normally do many hair posts. Recently, Irresistble Me reached out to me offering a chance for me to review their hair extensions. I don’t wear extensions often because my hair is already fairly long, but every now and then I still like to switch things up.
These extensions are clip-in’s so the clips have already been sewn on to the wefts for you. Not many websites allow you customize both the length* AND the weight* so I do think this allows for some flexibility when making a decision, which is good.
The 200 g sets come with 10 pieces. i.e. In this set comes: 1 piece of 4 clips at 7.5 inches 2 pieces of 3 clips at 6 inches 5 pieces of 2 clips at 4 inches 2 pieces of 1 clip at 1.2 inches It is done this way so that it looks more voluminous, and possibly more natural. If you’ve ever made your own clip-in extensions at home (which I have done) this is probably how you did them as well. Varying lengths give your hair more volume so I do think this is best.
Okay let me move on to the texture because I know that’s probably what you’re all most interested in reading about. This hair, is silky soft. And no, I was not paid to say that. But this is Remy hair therefore it will not look, nor will it feel fake. It looks and blends in the same way that real hair would. Though it’s straight with slight waves, in this images below I had clipped in the extensions and wrapped them on purple flexi rods the night before to have some added waves.
The thing I found about extensions is that, while the color matched perfectly, the length was perfect for adding some bit of volume to my hair, and the texture blended well with my hair…it got tangled within a few hours. They were very silky when I had just clipped them in, but within 2 hours they began to tangle and there was slight shedding. Not shedding terribly, but there was more than just, “Oh it’s because I just brushed it with my paddle brush” and it wasn’t a windy day in the city. Even when the shedding stopped, the tangling continued, and these tangles were after brushing through the hair twice. Having said all that though, I still don’t think these are terrible considering how much they retail for. I definitely think these are more beginner friendly. But personally, because of the tangling/shedding issues, I’d most likely use these on a day where I want a little more hair to play around with for a fun braid or maybe a nice updo or topknot.
