Fun Fact: My lashes aren’t exactly long (obviously), but I’m in love with my lower lashes. A few months ago I received a few products from Maybelline Canada for review purposes. One of these was their Lash Sensational mascara. I had been using Miss Manga by L’Oreal, but recently I finally got around to opening this brand new tube.
(Pardon my hair — there were things in the air, and please pardon my eyebrow as well) One of my closest friends, who is also a beauty junkie, had told me that she absolutely loves what Lash Sensational has been doing for her lashes. I will admit that for length it didn’t blow my mind. But in any case, that’s what Illegal Lengths mascara (also by Maybelline) is for. I like this because of how small the bristles are, it’s almost as if it combs through your lashes in order to give them that really separated, fanned-out look — love! It’s also good for lower lashes (as pictured here). In this shot I’m only wearing one coat, because that’s generally how I wear mascara. One coat that has been fully applied right throughout all my lashes. I wore this from 12pm until some time after 8 pm, and not once did it flake or smudge. All in all, I do think this is a good mascara. When I examined my lashes close up, I was able to really see how separated and slightly lengthened they were. If you’re not the biggest fan of formulas that are a bit on the wetter side, you might want to beware.
P.S. Have any of you checked out the Point Perks this month? In my opinion these are some of the best ones yet! I can’t refuse NARS or “They’re Real!” I had been saving my points for a 500-point perk…but that ship has sailed. Yesterday I picked up the NARS mini’s, the Lancôme Energie De Vie and “They’re Real!”
Okay. Last thing. I promise. But you guys! We finally have Velour Lashes here in Toronto. A days ago I had spotted them on Sephora’s website. Yesterday, I went by Sephora on Bloor Street and found that they actually have them in store.
