Let’s kick things off with a few questions! When did I begin filling in my eyebrows? March 2012 (my long term memory is freakishly good) after watching a video on the channel Andrea’sChoice. How many other products have I loved as much as Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade? 1. And it’s this product. Skinny Brow is pigmented, blendable, retractable and affordable.
As someone who is always hesitant to try new brow products for fear of them being too dark, I decided to take a chance. I swatched this side by side with Anastasia Brow Wiz in Chocolate and they were just about identical. This has been my ‘go to’ in recent times, because as much as I love Dipbrow, it sometimes requires a little too much precision, blending, and cleaning up. Skinny Brow has an impressive wear time as well, but not one that can rival Dipbrow (which is waterproof). I still set with Milani Brow Shaping Gel, and every now and then I’ll prep with Milani Brow Wax. With Dipbrow, I don’t have too that because it’s a pomade — so it has a more waxy consistency, it darkens and holds them in place all at once.
The point of the product is very small, so it allows for more precision and the stiffness allows the strokes to appear more like little hairs. While I do think that they should have gone with a groomer that was more similar to a spoolie, I can work with this somewhat — but I’m really not the biggest fan. As with all brow products, use a light hand and be sure to brush through your brows for even distribution of product so that they don’t come out looking too dark. Do I think this was worth my $7? I do, I do!
