Make Up For Ever Pro Finish in 168 Golden Camel

I know you must be growing tired of my unexpected breaks, but I really plan to try and get things back to the way they were. You know, when I’d give you more attention and a (possible) feeling of neglect wasn’t present. Now that my apology is out of the way dear readers, let’s talk about what I’ve been setting my face with!

First things first, your shade in the powder will be lighter than your shade in their HD Invisible Cover (liquid) foundation; I’m 173 Amber. What initially appealed to me was that this could be used both wet and dry, with a BeautyBlender. Personally, this works best for me after I’ve applied my liquid foundation, and misted my face with Caudalie Beauty Elixir — I then lightly apply this with a brush right before the mist has dried completely. When swatched, the texture is smooth, not patchy at all. Do I think it could feel a little smoother? Yes, because after feeling NARS Pressed Powder my standards are higher.

This finishing powder does add a bit of coverage for those of you who prefer to use only powder foundation, and the best thing about Make Up For Ever’s face products is the wide shade selection. What’s really great about this is that it doesn’t change colour on me at all! Pro Finish does not disturb any of the liquid of cream products that it’s applied on top of, and though it is packaged with a sponge, personally I find that’s best for those who would really like to pack on the coverage. This retails for 42CDN (before taxes) — however, I got mine discounted. Comparing price to quality? I do think it’s worth it. I’ve been using this regularly since November 2014 and I still have a way to go!
