Again, as usual, I apologize for unexpected hiatus. This time — I promise, was actually not intentional. But life happens! That being said, let’s talk about the magic that is Gold Deposit. Highlighters are one of those products that I recently — meaning Fall 2013, became interested in. So I had sampled a few liquid illuminators (here’s looking at you NARS Orgasm), and some time ago I decided to invest in Gold Deposit.
The appearance of Gold Deposit varies based on lighting as you can see in the first set of photos above. In one instance it looks more bronze instead of gold, but upon application it sheers out and looks very gold on my skin; the left is truer to colour. Because I have texture on my skin (hello blackheads!), I prefer pairing this with a full coverage foundation. With a tiny bit of MAC Strobe Cream as my base, and Milani’s Bella Rosa as my pop of colour, I am in love with this cheek combo! For application I use a Sonia Kashuk fan brush, and for those of you who aren’t into as much intensity as I am, be sure to use a light hand. This is definetly perfect for NC45-50, and NW’s as well. Gold Deposit would also look great on olive skin tones. Honestly? This has been one of my better investments, and I’m so glad I got it!
