For those of you enjoying “The Kylie Jenner Lip” be sure to pop in at Sephora and redeem your 100-point perk, because one of them is an Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil in 3C by Make Up For Ever HD — the perfect shade for this matte, over-drawn lip trend. Or you can try “1995” that Jaclyn Hill created with Gerard Cosmetics. Aqua Lip glides on smoothly, and it’s waterproof and long-wearing — no smudging here. I tried it but I’m more drawn to brightly colored lips I decided not to redeem my points.
BECCA Cosmetics hasn’t released any specific details as yet, but (a few days ago) they told their Canadian fans to get ready! I also saw on Sephora’s website their Shadow & Light Bronze/Contour Perfector made to be used with their The One Perfecting Brush. There’s also a new Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold.
Inglot Cosmetics is opening a brick and mortar retailer here in Toronto! I found out about this last week on blogTO and I was so excited. Apparently they’ve had stores previously in Montreal — this was closed down.
I haven’t found a specific date for this new store, but their new Toronto location is going to be right beside the Hard Rock Cafe downtown (a 3-minute walk from Yonge-Dundas Square).
Lancome GRANDIOSE: Wide-Angle Fan Effect Mascara is for those of you who love new mascara innovations, and have a soft spot (or possible obsession) with high-end mascara (35CDN). The main reason this intrigues me is the brush — which would make sense because that’s what the advertisement focuses on anyway. The first of it’s kind Swan Neck Wand has those small bristles that always work well for separating — similar to Maybelline’s Lots of Lashes, and the curve of the wand is made so that it mixes the mascara with each use.
Lorac Cosmetics has a LORAC PRO Mega eye shadow palette coming out (slated for a November release) — I counted about 32 shades. This includes, but is not limited to, neutrals, blue’s and plum’s; both matte and shimmer shades were spotted.
MAC Cosmetics has released their collections for The Simpsons, Artificially Wild, and A Novel Romance — the last one definitely has nice, deep shades for fall. If you’re looking for a curated MAC set to invest in (50CDN) then be sure to check out their Look In A Box sets; there are about 5 different options, ranging from pink, to coral, to plum; there’s something there for every skin tone. And as you probably already know, there’s another Rihanna Viva Glam lipstick coming out.
Maybelline (Canada) has not tweeted any information regarding matte lipsticks, however I’ve watched more than one Youtuber and apparently there are newly released matte lipsticks (in the United States) by Maybelline for Fall 2014. With names such as Faint for Fuschia, Divine Wine and Daringly Nude, head on over to Harmon’s, CVS and Walgreens to check them out!
Milani Cosmetics has Constellation Gel Eyeliners and 3 NEW matte lipstick shades (deep rose, nude with a brown undertone, and a light purple that isn’t quite lilac) coming out this fall. They’ve also revamped their website — personally, I like it. Have you checked out their website recently?
Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palettes. I spotted these recently when I went to Sephora with a friend of mine (to lust at expensive beauty products of course) and I chose not to take a picture because they didn’t appeal to me personally. But if you’re looking to spend 60CDN on an eye shadow palette that is not by Urban Decay and still has a variety of colours, I think these are a good option. Packaged in sleek gold cases, they have interesting names, such as: Mind (neutrals), Body (blue’s and purple’s), Spirit (warm shades), and Soul (deep neutrals)
Urban Decay has released their NAKED BASICS 2 palette (30CDN), which contains cooler shades unlike the original NAKED BASICS palette which contains warmer shades. However they also recently shed some light on their VICE3 Palette that’s slated for release on September 13th. Lastly, based on Nicole Guerriero’s video, there’s also an Urban Decay Shadow Box that’s coming out — an ULTA exclusive; sorry Canadian readers.
Lastly, if you’ve been on Pinterest or Dascha Polanco’s (Daya Diaz, on Orange Is The New Black) Instagram account recently it’s possible that you’re curious about Shea Moisture. The first time I heard about this brand was a few months ago when a close friend of mine in Florida asked me if I had used or seen their hair products — these are sold in Target stores across the U.S. Currently their products are not in Canada, but I’ve been told that they’re planning big things, so don’t be surprised if you see them here in 2015.
Disclaimer: With the exception of the Inglot pictures, and the picture of the VICE3 Palette by Urban Decay, the images used in this post are not mine. They do not belong to me.
